John & Linda and Sammy - The Sceneramic Photography Team

John, Linda & Sammy - The Sceneramic TeamPhotography has been part of John's life since 1977. It began when his father-in-law gave him an old bellows camera.

After taking a few rolls of film and having them processed, John discovered there must have been a hole in the bellows that had let stray light into the camera fogging the images. Not to be deterred, a little experimentation and John soon learned where to place his finger to plug the hole before releasing the shutter. That solved that problem! No more fogging!!!

After only a dozen or so rolls of film, his old camera gave up the ghost. But, despite his brief experience with it, John had caught the photographic bug.

He soon bought a second-hand 35mm camera and quickly learned that the finger he had become accustomed to using to plug the hole in the bellows now came in very handy for twiddling the controls of his new camera.

His hobby soon turned into a business. Linda, his wife, became more involved as much of their work moved into the studio. Modeling portfolio's accounted for a large part of their business. While Linda took care of ensuring the models looked their best and posing them to show off their best features, John concentrated on the lighting and camera angles to capture those perfect shots. John and Linda made and still make a great team!

John is now dedicating more of his time to his first love... scenic photography. The culmination of his years of experience and a diverse background in all realms and disciplines of photography has given him a unique perspective and quality to his scenery photography. It is his love for scenery and panoramic vistas that prompted the name of the company...Sceneramic (Scenery + Panoramic) Photography.

John's unique photographic style masterfully brings together all the elements of nature to create images that provide a sense of dimension, drawing you into each photograph. "My goal is to create images that give you a sense of 'being there' so you can envision and experience the same excitement I felt when I looked through the viewfinder to set up and take the shot," John says...

"Just as important as taking the picture is preserving the vibrant, vivid colors that I witnessed by maintaining them throughout the photographic process. Every step is as important as the next to ensure the final print matches as closely as possible that of the original scene." He continues, "this is my obligation and commitment to you."

I think you'll agree after viewing the gallery, John has succeeded in his endeavor.

Enjoy your visionary tour through John's photographic experiences!
