February's been another busy month for us. We've
incorporated a new search engine facility so you can
more easily find the images you're looking for. We've
also added a shopping cart system allowing you to
save your shopping cart, view and reorder from past
orders, personalize your experience for faster order
processing, and much more.
The biggest news, however, is that we've just reduced
the prices of all our 13" x 19" images in our gallery.
This isn't just a one-time promotional sale, either. It's
our new, everyday pricing making our images even more
affordable. You won't find deals like these anywhere
else on the Internet.

| sceneramic calendars | | |
Sceneramic Photography now sells calendars through
our Sceneramic Calendars storefront. Calendars feature
the same high quality images from the Sceneramic
gallery so each picture is crystal clear. Our calendars
are truly unique allowing you to specify what month
you'd like your calendar to start. Who says calendars
have to begin on January? Start your calendar on your
birthday, anniversary, or any month you want. The calendar opens up to 11" x 17" with 12 images and
months each printed on its own 8.5" x 11" page. The
large calendar size creates plenty of room to jot down
appointments, notes and reminders of important dates.
And since the calendar is printed on durable card stock,
it'll hold up to everyday use and the acid-free paper
ensures the pictures will look great for years to come.

| double-digit megapixel digital cameras | | |
In one of my past newsletters I mentioned that Canon
and Kodak were about to set new standards in digital
photography by unleashing double-digit megapixel SLR
cameras. Well, since that writing those cameras have
now become a reality. Canon's EOS-1 Ds produces 11
megapixel images while Kodak's DCS Pro 14n bumps the
anti up to an incredible 14 megapixels. Having seen the
images from both cameras I can say they are very
impressive with unrivaled clarity, detail and color. Talk
about giving me a case of camera envy!Prices for these cameras are not for the faint hearted,
though. The Canon retails for around $9,000 and the
Kodak for around $5,000. While I don't expect many
folks will dump their APS cameras to run down to the
local store to buy one of these cameras, they do
provide us a glimpse of what will undoubtedly trickle
down into the affordable camera lines in the next 2-3
years. Will Santa bring me one of these cameras for
Christmas? If he does, I'll promise to wash and wax his
sleigh after he's through delivering my present! See Kodak's DCS Pro 14n...
| throwing away your old filters | | |
If you're an ex-35mm camera user, chances are you've
experimented with filters attached to the front of your
lenses. One filter you probably goofed around with was
a polarizing filter. However, there's a bunch of other fun
filters you probably have stashed away in a draw or old
camera bag somewhere like star filters, soft focus
filters, vignette filters, etc. Who say's you can't use
these filters on your new digital camera?Okay, I can hear you saying to yourself; "there's no
need for filters anymore because you can pretty much
do everything a filter could do with today's software."
Well, to some extent that's true. But there are still
quite a few cases when it's hard to duplicate the same
effect with software that you could've achieved with a
filter. If you still have some old filters lying around
that'll fit your digital camera, give them a try. I think
you'll be pleasantly surprised with the effects and also
how much fun you can have with them.

| movie - the dish | | |
The Dish is an Australian movie that undoubtedly
escaped many American movie go'ers. That's too bad.
It's one of those movies that everyone loves because it
has a real story within a real story. As part of the
Apollo 11 moon mission, a small Australian town
stumbles to help by playing a very important role in
providing communication support for NASA. NASA asks
Buxton, played by Sam Neill, if they can use his dish as
a backup receiver for the transmission from the moon.Don't let the subject matter lull you into thinking this is
just another dry, humorless documentary. It's not. It's
a great movie that includes plenty of laughs as the
town tries to deal with the enormous pressure of the
tasks at hand. In my opinion, The Dish is a definite
buyer. Buy From Amazon.com...
